Remember my last cooking post? With the risk of showing you a similar recipe (because most ingredients are the same), today I am going to tell you about the Asian version of it OR how to turn your pasta dressing into a nice stir fry.

What you need:

  • 120 g noodles
  • mushrooms
  • spinach
  • sesame seed oil
  • soy sauce
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic garlic
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 1/2 carrot
  • salt, pepper
  • chili powder
  • 1 tbs honey

Boil your noodles 1 minute less than mentioned on the package.

In a heated (wok) pan, add about 2 tablespoons of sesame seed oil, then brown the minced garlic for a couple of seconds, before adding the thin sliced carrot and red bell pepper. Stir constantly to prevent it from burning and then add your sliced mushrooms and spinach.

You will see that the vegetables are going to release water. That’s when you are going to increase the heat and add the noodles. Season with some salt and pepper, then add soy sauce. I personally prefer adding about 4 to 5 tablespoons. I also added a tablespoon of honey to give it a sweet twist.

Let all the flavors soak in the noodles while stirring them. If you are into hot stuff, you can add some chili powder to spice it up. After a couple of minutes, your quick and delicious stir fry should be ready!

What I love about a stir fry is that it’s so customizable. There are no rules and you can play with different flavors and ingredients. My recipe may not be correct  according to the real Asian cuisine, but I assure you, it’s so delicious!

Don’t forget to share the love!

Namaste!
